Amazon Delivery Charges

Third-Party Seller Costs Vary

Delivery Costs Displayed at Checkout

Amazon UK has announced that third-party sellers on its platform may now charge varying delivery costs. Customers will be informed of these charges when they place an order. This change aligns with Amazon's commitment to transparency and provides customers with a more informed shopping experience.

Previously, Amazon UK absorbed the delivery costs for all items sold by third-party sellers. However, this practice has been deemed anti-competitive by the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA). As a result, Amazon has implemented this new policy to ensure compliance with regulations.

Amazon emphasizes that the delivery costs charged by third-party sellers will vary depending on factors such as the size, weight, and delivery location of the item. Customers can view the delivery costs before completing their purchase. Amazon Prime members will continue to receive free delivery on eligible orders.
